Frederique van der Wal (also Frédérique van der Wal〔Sean Penn and Veronique Vial. ''Women Before 10 a.m.''; powerHouse Books; 2001; Page 60 ISBN 1-57687-120-7; ISBN 978-1-57687-120-1〕) (born August 30, 1967) is a Dutch model, businesswoman and entrepreneur best known for her appearances in Victoria's Secret, and the covers of such magazines as Cosmopolitan, and ''Vogue''. Van der Wal grew up in The Hague. ==Career== Frederique van der Wal, has taken her success in fashion and beauty, and translated it into a career that spans the worlds of fashion, film, television and business. In 1985, she won John Casablancas' Look Of The Year contest, representing Holland. She has appeared in prestigious campaigns for Revlon, Guess?, MCI, and Victoria's Secret, and has been profiled in such varied magazines as "Forbes" and "InStyle." 〔"http://frederique.com/bio.html〕 In 2003, Van der Wal appeared in a stage production of The Vagina Monologues (Washington D.C.), and has performed in feature films by acclaimed directors Barry Sonnenfeld ("The Wild, Wild West"), Woody Allen ("Celebrity"), James Toback ("Two Girls & A Guy") and Wim Wenders.
